I’m Sandra—Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Personal Trainer, mom, and founder of Strongly Nourished. For years, I believed that regular workouts and “clean eating” were enough to stay healthy, but everything shifted when I entered perimenopause. I began struggling with low energy, bloating, mood swings, restless sleep, and weight gain—and I realized my body needed deeper support.
That’s when I discovered the power of holistic healing for hormone balance, gut health and better sleep.
I dove into the science of women’s hormone health, gut healing, and stress management, uncovering how food, movement, and lifestyle choices can truly transform the way we feel. Through my own journey, I restored balance and energy—and today, I help women do the same with personalized, root-cause wellness plans. Movement has always been a part of who I am.
From playing sports in my youth to building a consistent workout routine as an adult, staying active helped me feel empowered, strong, and grounded. I became a certified Personal Trainer in 2004 and loved guiding others toward their fitness goals. While I believed I had a solid grasp on health—eating fruits and veggies and maintaining my weight—I silently struggled with chronic skin and gut issues, unaware that my low-carb, fat-free diet and high-stress lifestyle were doing more harm than good.
By my mid-thirties, raising three kids while juggling a full-time career left me exhausted, moody, and disconnected from myself. I couldn’t sleep, my energy was gone, and the weight slowly crept up. That was my turning point that pushed me to dig deeper, eventually leading me to discover perimenopause and the powerful role hormones, stress, and sleep play in women’s midlife health. It was eye-opening—and the beginning of a complete personal transformation.
I dove into holistic nutrition and learned how real food, intentional movement, and simple lifestyle changes could restore balance from the inside out. Today, I help women navigate the often-overlooked challenges of perimenopause and menopause. This work is deeply personal—because I’ve lived it—and I’m passionate about helping you feel strong, energized, and connected to your body again.
